Dubai has emerged as a must-see
destination over a short period of time. Majority of the
tour operators are featuring Dubai in the holiday
packages in this prime European market as it guarantees
sunshine, shopping malls, beaches, and it is relatively
closer to home. It is a feast to the eyes with the
daring architecture, world-class hotels, skyscrapers,
and top sports facilities.
With several Asian airlines
offering direct services along with British Airways,
which is the world’s biggest international airline,
there is intense competition for flights from London to
Dubai. British Airways carries more passengers from one
country to another than any of its competitors. This
industry-leader has the reputation of being the world’s
longest established airlines. Some of the competitors
providing services to Dubai from London are as follows:
British Airways have direct flights
to Dubai from London Heathrow and Manchester. Flights
from Birmingham go via first a Scottish airport and then
from London Heathrow. First class travelers going from
Heathrow can enjoy a pre-flight visit to the Molton
Brown Travel Spa (Terminal 4) and have complimentary
treatments and massages.
Emirates have direct economy
flights from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham
and Manchester. Emirates
departures from the UK to Dubai have now increased to
seven: two from London Gatwick, three from Heathrow, and
one each from Manchester and Birmingham. Emirates have
also added departures from Glasgow and Newcastle.
Emirates are known for their excellent hospitality and
so even economy-class travelers can expect excellent
quality of service. Prices vary, but considering the
quality of service they provide, it is worthy.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines have
flights from Aberdeen to Dubai which goes via Amsterdam
and flights from Heathrow that goes via Charles de
Gaulle airport, Paris. They provide three classes of
flight; the base class, economy class and select class.
The base class requires bookings to be made at least
three days in advance and no cancellations or changes
can be made to this and only light refreshment is
provided on board. Economy class offers the same
in-flight service as base, but with more flexibility to
change our travel plans. Select is the most expensive
amongst this and it gives in-flight alcoholic drinks,
priority boarding, extra legroom and freedom to change
our plans with no charge.
Domestic airlines also play a role
by helping travelers to reach the main airports of UK.
Thus, both cheap and expensive flights are available
from various airports in UK to fly away to paradise!
